| Malaika M. Turner was born and raised in Norristown, PA. From a young age she developed an interest in preaching the Word of God and singing gospel music and has been singing for over 20 years in various gospel choirs and groups. Her focus, however, is on praise and worship. |

| In 1991, Malaika left home to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania and it was then that she also began attending Victory Christian Assembly. | ||
| During her pursuit of a B.A. degree in Communications Media, Malaika received the Call to the Ministry. She was later ordained as a minister at Victory Christian Assembly in May of 1997. During her stay in Indiana, she received an M.A. in Adult Education and Communication Technology. She is currently employed with IUP as a Residence Director. | ||
| Malaika has been married since 1999 to Theodore G. Turner, a Deacon at VCA. They are the parents of two sons, Theodore Malik and Tyree Morell. Malaika is currently the Praise and Worship leader at Victory Christian Assembly, where she, along with her husband, also oversee Divine Praise Gospel Choir – IUP Punxsutawney campus gospel choir. | ||
| Under the leadership of her pastor, Dr. Melvin A .Jenkins, she has had the liberty to grow in the Lord, preach the gospel to many and share her creative skills, abilities, and ideas freely. She has created Raising the Standard singles ministry, Keepin’ It Real Workshops, Sisters to Sisters Ministries and written, directed and performed in the play Church Folks. Her desire is to provide Gods people with the tools to be victorious. | ||
